So, remember that time where I felt like I was nearing the end of Black Flag? Well it turns out that when I unpaused the game, I was up to the final memory sequence. And do you know what the final memory sequence entailed? A cut scene. So, after all that effort, I can finally chalk-up a Black Flag playthrough on my Xbox Account. It’s a bit disappointing that there’s no decisive ‘Campaign Complete’ achievement, instead having to rely on ‘Complete Memory Sequence 13’, but I’m really just dealing in semantics now – the game is done.

So, it’s time for achievement clean-up! One of my favourite things to do is to work through ‘low hanging fruit’ and just chip-away at collectables and puzzles that yield an achievement, so imagine my disappointment when there was no achievement for hacking all the computers or collecting all the sticky notes!

Collecting them all earns you this pretty picture with some Manifesto included. I really, really tried to read the rest of the Manifesto on the sticky notes, but it just seems … “meh.” Not earning an achievement for the effort is just salt into a wound.

I then went and tidied up all computers for what I assumed would be an achievement for hacking all the computers. Nope! Nothing more than the less-than-sweet satisfaction of having completed another in-game task. This one simply gives you a nice bit of lore and backstory from the Assassin’s Creed universe, but for a game that does pirates so well, the window dressing is inconsequential.

So, as midnight ticked over I made my way to one of the Templar Hunt missions – and without much consideration to my execution (speed, more than substance) I got it done.

And now, what to do with my Saturday? Well, it’s quite possible that I’m going to spend the day on the new Hitman mission, or see how Destiny 2 is going with it’s Xbox One X improvements. Or I could just go and spend all of my disposable income on LEGO Dimensions during the EB Games Christmas sale.

Variety, as they say, is the spice of life!
